Our annual All STARS Simulation Competition, a showdown between medical teams from across STARS, challenged our crews in a very chaotic atmosphere and involved eight patients in various levels of need.

Watch to the end to hear coordinator Tara Oliver explain how she put the craziness together.

Special thanks to the Evan Hardy Collegiate drama department for volunteering to party all day long. And special thanks to the Sask Polytech Primary Care Paramedic students who were our patients. The Saskatoon Police Service also provided a car and an officer, and Medavie Health Services sent an ambulance. It was a significant team effort.

Congratulations to Flight Nurse Rene Chapman and Flight Paramedic Luc Duval on winning the competition. They’ll represent STARS at the annual Air Medical Transport Conference this November in Atlanta.
