Not long after Cohen Hildebrand underwent a tonsil surgery, his recovery took a bad turn. When the main artery in his throat ruptured, Cohen needed to get to hospital quickly. More importantly, Cohen urgently needed a blood transfusion, so STARS was called. Within minutes, Cohen received a life-saving transfusion in the helicopter from his air medical crew, en route to hospital.

After his recovery, Cohen and his family made and sold rulers and donated the proceeds to STARS.

“Because they saved my life, I thought we should donate back and help them so that they can help other kids like me,” said Cohen.

Thank you, Cohen, for being our ally!
